As of December 23, 2005, just when many members of Congress were enroute to families and homes,
this raised its ugly head:
Following is an email from Public Citizen regarding the recent embedding of Senator Bill Frists
Protection for the Drug Companies in the Defense Appropriations Bill who allegedly pay him $$$...
The date I received this is 12/23/2005. My guess is that we will NOW hear about enforced
vaccination for the "bird flu" pandemic which probably is an incredible scam, in my opinion.
Instead of depending upon enforced vaccinations, the best bet is to make sure your immune system
is really good, and your body ph is on the alkaline side. AND: take vitamin C, the Cholecalciferol and of course, Vitamin
C as this Bird Flu just might be a hemolytic strain, as some of my news feeds are saying.
(similar to the Drug Companies during the 1930s in Germany...and their immunity.) Think
about that...

We thank you and the nearly 5,000 others who sent emails to members of Congress opposing their
proposal to give the drug industry blanket immunity for injuries resulting from pandemic drugs and vaccines. Unfortunately,
Congress put corporate interests above the public interest and passed this unsafe, unfair, and unnecessary legislation.
How
could this happen? Only because Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist attached the 45-page proposal to a must-pass 465-page
Defense appropriations bill, leaving members vulnerable to charges that they were abandoning the troops if they refused to
approve military spending. Moreover, the Republican leadership insisted that the bill was necessary to ensure we had
the capacity to confront an avian flu pandemic, covering up the fact that the immunity covers any disease and any drug, so
long as the Secretary of Health and Human Services decides that the disease may turn into a pandemic, and the drug is used
to prevent, cure or treat it.
House members and senators chose the easy way out -- abandoning public health
by putting the drug companies above the law, and leaving ordinary citizens with no where to turn for help. They even
ignored the warnings of nurses associations, state and municipal health officials, and unions that first responders would
be reluctant to take or administer new, untested drugs if there were no possibility of compensation for any injuries that
result.
But all may not be lost. We plan to take action at the start of the new year, and will need your
help to convince members of Congress that they made the wrong decision.

Following is my letter to more than one Editor and opinion Section of some newspapers:
Editor:
I just became aware that buried in the neW Defense Appropriations Spending Act is a little-known extra that provides
total legal immunity for all drug companies who make vaccines.Senator Bill Frist (R-TN), Senate Majority Leader, evidently
under the direction of the Drug Companies themselves, removed any retribution which the patient might have against the Government
and the Pharmaceutical Comopanies in the event of a government-mandated vaccine program.
In addition, the actual composition of these vaccines are to be kept "top secret." This means that thimerosal (ethyl
mercury) can be used as a preservative as well as other (allegedly) poisonous substances.
It is interesting that a Physician, who is also a State Senator from Tennessee, charged with protecting the health of
the public, and representing the best interests of his constituency, would allow this. I would have expected much more
from him.
In fact, this also pre-empts any States Rights to remove mercury from any allowed vaccines in their respective States.
This pre-empting of States Rights, and the mandated vaccine programs which do not allow any retribution for adverse reactions
is reprensible.
Do your own research on the Bird Flu Vaccine. My guess is that now that the drug companies are protected, we will
now have the much-hyped pandemic along with mandatory vaccinations. Interestingly, a fellow by the name of
Rumsfeld, of Aspartame fame, stands to win big financially in this dollar game. These Drug Companies could face enormous lawsuits
if something goes wrong, and now they will not, due to the passage of this bill. And it was passed. We were all asleep
at the switch, blindsided as it were by other so-called newsworthy events. The adverse event reporting, of course, will
not be made public, so we will never know just what is going on. Is this really ethical, to put greed and money ahead of patient's
health and welfare? Vote the incumbents out, I say!!
